Attention 9th-12th Archie Marching Band Members! This is a reminder that band camp will be starting next week, July 15th-19th! We will be meeting from 9am-12pm with an hour break for lunch and then picking back up at 1pm for an hour dedicated to percussion. If your student would like to hang around for lunch, I would love the opportunity to get to know them more, please make sure they bring their own lunch, and don't forget to bring water!
A group will be set up for band at a later date due to a district transition.
All junior high and high school students participating in MSHSAA activities (sports, marching band, choir, cheer, etc.) must have a current MSHSAA Medical Eligibility Form (Physical) and MSHSAA Pre-Participation Form on file with the Activities Director. The links to both forms are below.
Completed forms can be emailed to mmcintire@archie.k12.mo.us, mailed to 302 West State Route A, Archie, MO 64725, attention Matt McIntire, or dropped off in the central office. If you are participating in fall sports/activities, please have these documents turned in by August 1, 2024, to ensure the ability to begin practices in early August.
These forms ARE REQUIRED before you are allowed to participate in any practices or activities in the fall.

The Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) is awaiting approval on a new program called ‘Missouri SuN Bucks,’ aimed at helping families buy groceries for their school-aged children during the summer.
While waiting on approval, they recommend families start preparing for when the program launches. When accessing the information, you will find an overview of the program. Subscribe for email alerts and update your address if you have SNAP or Temporary Assistance. DSS will send more information to families that subscribe. #ArchieStrong

Great News! The Archie School District can offer FREE preschool to all 4 year old children this coming school year. Contact Mrs. Kristi Reynolds soon if you are interested in enrolling your 4 year old. Class lists are being created this week. Look for your preschool class list letter to arrive in the mail in the next couple weeks.

We finished our Summer Personal Finance class this week! Twenty-five high school students successfully completed this course in which we were piloting a new curriculum.
My final charge for them was to "go WIN with money".

It was a hot night in St. Joseph, but as usual, the Archie fans showed up. It was great seeing Brayden, Brock and Kaden suit up one more time for the 16th Annual MO 8 Man All-Star Game. In addition to the game, Coach Smith was introduced as the 2023 Coach of the Year, and the 2023 Archie Whirlwind football team was announced for their recent State Championship.
Mel Hernandez, Kale Snook, Kyleigh Wilson and Madison Wilson attended the KC Scholars event today! These #ArchieStrong students are planning for the future!
