Our very own Jackson Martin completed and published one of his compositions. Writing a composition is not easy, let alone getting it published! The piece I wanted to highlight is titled Spirits, by 1MB and it can be found on Spotify, Youtube, and Youtube Music. Please give it a listen to support one of our schools' budding musicians. Three wins for the Lady Whirlwinds last night. C, JV, and Varsity all took the "W" as we hosted Sherwood. Also, a special congratulations to Lizzy Thompson. She was recognized for achieving 500 digs at the end of last season!

Summer EBT Update
Great news for Missouri families: the state's SuN Bucks program has been approved and applications are now open.
Summer EBT, also known as SuN Bucks in some states, is a new program to help families buy food for their school-aged children while they are not in school. Eligible families will now will get $120 for each eligible child to reimburse food expenses incurred over the summer.
Families can check their eligibility and apply for the program at https://mydss.mo.gov/SuNBucks.
The deadline to apply for the Missouri Sun Bucks program is August 31, 2024.
The Parents as Teachers program hosted their first Group Connection last night and it was quite a success! The staff saves boxes for this event and free play with boxes is a favorite for the littlest Whirlwinds! All families in Archie, with children not yet in school, are welcome to join the Archie Parents as Teachers program. Email kreynolds@archie.k12.mo.us for more information.
Football Game Day! The Archie Whirwlinds travel to Lockwood today for their first regular season game. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. If you plan to arrive early, the Lockwood FFA chapter is hosting a Fish Fry. See flyer for details.
The district is encouraging all parents to fill out the Application for Free or Reduced-Meals online through your Campus Parent Portal. Filling it out online helps streamline the process and saves time on the approval process.
We understand this may not be the easiest route for some parents so, attached are instructions and the application to print and fill out if necessary. Please turn it in to the main office, or send it with your student in an envelope marked "Attention Central Office.
Attention parents of Archie students: If you have not set up a Campus Portal account yet, please do so as soon as possible. It is available through the Infinite Campus site and a mobile app. This account will give you access to things like, your student's grades, attendance, lunch balance and more. You will need your specific key code to activate your account. Please request your code by emailing infinitecampus@archie.k12.mo.us You will then be sent an e-mail with instructions on how to create your Campus Parent Portal.
