The youngest Whirlwinds enjoyed a night of music and movement at the latest Parents as Teachers event. Our music teacher, Miss Bryson, led the night of fun. It was a great opportunity to remind us that music accelerates brain development and brings children to life.
The Parents as Teachers program is open to all families in Archie with young children not yet in Kindergarten. Personal visits, group events, and developmental screenings are all offered free to families. #ArchieStrong

The preschoolers recently enjoyed a unit of study on the post office and mail. It's always one of their favorite units! A walking field trip to the post office, mailing their own letters, dressing up in dramatic play center and beginning to memorize their addresses filled the weeks with fun. For the last 2 years the Archie School District has been able to offer free preschool to all 3 and 4 year olds living in district. Preschool screenings are this Thursday and Friday. If you are thinking about sending your child to preschool next year, please sign your child up for a screening by emailing kreynolds@archie.k12.mo.us or calling the school at 293-5312 ext. 1093. Screenings are required for preschool enrollment. #ArchieStrong

This past Monday, several Archie High School Band students were selected to participate in the WEMO Conference Honor Band. 🎶
Archie was well represented as our students joined musicians from across the conference for a fantastic concert under the direction of Mr. Chuck Appleton. We are proud of their hard work and dedication!

Due to a shortage of players on Leeton’s girls basketball team, the girls game scheduled for tonight has been canceled. The boys game will begin at 6:00 PM, with Senior Recognition for both the boys and girls basketball teams, as well as the cheerleaders, taking place prior to tip-off. Please be sur to share with friends and relatives!
