Reminder that mini cheer clinic starts after break for those who signed up!

The varsity girl's basketball team got a big win today over North Platte in the St. Joseph Sports Commission Winter Showcase.

Our preschoolers are continuing to develop their motor skills by visiting the motor lab each day. The new stations always bring lots of smiles!

From building Mat Man to drawing Mat Man, the preschoolers are growing every day.

The Lady Whirlwinds are the 40th Annual Midway Tournament Champions, and the boys were the runner up. Thanks to all the fans that showed up to support both teams. Also, congrats to Lexie Andrews, Abigail Sutton, Malayna Baer, Jackson Kash, and Michael Stevenson for being selected to the all tournament team. Enjoy your break!

There was definitely hustle and bustle at Archie Elementary today! Our day kicked off with greetings from You Matter and the Grinch, followed by our monthly celebration. Congratulations to our Students of the Month for demonstrating compassion! We also presented class trophies for our Specials Classes of the Month, recognized our Whirlwind Buck winners, and celebrated birthdays with You Matter treats. A special shout-out to Casey’s for donating Whirlwind Buck donut certificates—thank you for your support! Buddy the Elf even stopped by for a special visit, spreading holiday cheer and handing out candy canes to all of our students. The day wrapped up with classroom parties and warm holiday wishes. Thank you to our room parents for helping make parties a success! Enjoy winter break, everyone—and don’t forget the reading and math challenge! #ArchieStrong 🎄

If anyone is attending the Midway Tournament tonight, there has been a change in schedule. The 4:30 pm girl's game has been canceled. There will only be three games tonight, beginning at 6:00 pm. Come out tomorrow, Saturday, December 20, 2025 to support the Archie girls and boys in the championship games. Girls tip off is scheduled for 5:30 pm, with the boys to follow. Go Whirlwinds!

Mrs. Hufferd's 2nd grade students experienced the joy of holiday baking, mixing up sugar cookie dough and then cutting cookies for Mrs. Hufferd to bake in the evening. Yum!

The junior high girls and boys basketball season came to an end tonight in the WEMO tournament. Both teams learned and improved throughout the season. Also, a big thank you to Coach Bennett and the cheerleaders for all of their support along the way.

Both Whirlwind teams came home with wins from the Midway Tournament. The girls will play the next round on Thursday at 4:30. The boys will wrap up Thursday night with a 9:00 game. Let's go Whirlwinds! #ArchieStrong
