EOC Testing Begins This Week!

Be sure to check the Events page on our website/app for the most up-to-date information and any schedule changes.

An Archie High School Class of 2025 graduate is continuing to do amazing things! 🌟
Now a student at Texas State University in San Marcos, Meah McCoy recently presented her research on Bilateral Asymmetry in a Sierra Leone-born, wild-caught male chimpanzee pelvis 🧠🐒
Using the knowledge and skills she developed over the years, she is taking her education to the next level! 📚💪
Even better—her former high school teachers were able to watch her presentation via Zoom and support her from afar 💻❤️
We are proud of you, Meah! 🎉👏

⚾️Baseball Update⚾️
Due to inclement weather ☔️, today's high school baseball games in Windsor have been canceled. 🗓️A decision on rescheduling will be made later today--stay tuned for updates!

Baseball and softball traveled to Jasper this afternoon for a WEMO matchup. Unfortunately, varsity baseball, JV baseball and varsity softball all suffered losses. Baseball is back in action tomorrow at the Windsor tournament...weather permitting. ⚾️🥎☔️🌪️💪🏽

🚨 Softball Update 🚨
Due to a last-minute change from Jasper, the JV softball game for tonight has been canceled.
• JV players are not required to attend, but are still welcome to come and support!
• Any JV softball players who also compete in track are encouraged to attend the track meet tonight if they choose.
We apologize for the late notice and any inconvenience—this update was just received. Thank you for your understanding!

Parents of Sophomores:
Here is important English II EOC (State Testing) information for you and your student.
Session 1: Multiple Choice (Tuesday, 4/14, Hours 2-4 or 6-8)
You will need headphones that plug into your Chromebook for some questions.
Session 2: Performance Event (Essay) (Tuesday, 4/21, Hours 2-4 or 6-8)
Blended Writing: Narrative, Informative, and Persuasive/Argumentative
Write a 5-paragraph (or more) essay.
Tips to Be Successful:
Get good sleep the nights before.
Eat a high-protein breakfast.
Come prepared (WITH A CHARGED CHROMEBOOK!), ready to work, and with a positive attitude.
Other Info:
Remember, EOC testing won’t be fun, but you are given the time to do really well on it.
While there are few high-stakes decisions made based on your scores currently, that CAN change in the future, so don’t “close any doors” on future opportunities because you decide not to give this test all you’ve got!
You are intelligent; I have seen your brain power and your work ethic.
I know you are too smart to allow this test to beat you.

Our #ArchieStrong Kindergarten screening team welcomed 41 incoming kindergarten students a few weeks ago! A big shout out to our preschool team for helping them prepare the past two years! Each incoming kindergartner signed a letter of commitment. We took too many pictures to share on Facebook, but the link to the photos has been shared in Rooms. A special thanks to Kelsey Guthrie with Party Barn, LLC for sharing her talent and making us a fun photo background. Be sure you have your calendars marked for our Kindergarten Readiness Night on May 7th at 6:30 p.m.
