You may remember the sophomores' competition while reading The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in English II as mentioned in a previous article. Well, the final clue tally is in: Hour 1 won with 312 clues found within the text that support Jekyll and Hyde being the same person, and they celebrated with a breakfast and free day! Hour 6 came in second with an impressive 298 clues, and Hour 3 in 3rd with 235 though they worked very hard. Mrs. Lile could not be more proud of how hard students worked to win the competition, yes, but really to sharpen that difficult skill of finding authoritative evidence to back a claim and be able to effectively use it. This year's sophomore class found more clues than any class who has participated in this competition before, showing them to be just as smart as Dr. Jekyll and as fierce as Mr. Hyde!
