The sophomores are working hard to win a clue competition among their English II classes while practicing finding textual evidence in the novella The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Mrs. Lile has tasked each of the three classes to, upon reading each chapter, find as many clues as they can that prove Jekyll and Hyde are the same person. The students then participate in clue sessions where they introduce the evidence they found to the class to earn points. The English II class with the most clues found and, thereby, the most points at the end of the book will win a food day. It's anyone's game right now, as the scores after Chapter 2 are Hour 2 with 26 clues, Hour 3 with 19 clues, and Hour 6 with 25 clues. Students have been very energetic while finding clues, boasting that they will find the most and contribute to their class's big win. Mrs. Lile is simply proud.
