Personal Narratives

English II sophomores have been consistently working on writing a personal narrative for two weeks after extensive study of professional narratives and what makes them worthy to be published. Today, they continued their intense efforts by peer editing each other's rough drafts using a strict rubric that focused on the hook sentence, imagery usage, and dialogue effectiveness. Mrs. Lile could not be more proud as she printed out 3, 5, 8, and even 15-page narratives to be edited, especially when the minimum length stipulation was 5 paragraphs. And she was even more delighted as she watched each student work so diligently to beneficially edit their peers' papers in order to help them perfect their narrative techniques. Parents, the sophomores are working hard in English II!
