English I and II students enjoyed one of the last days of summer by reading in the shade and breeze of this sunny September day. Independent Reading (IR) is an important part of the curriculum, and students spent a lot of time at the beginning of the school year carefully selecting their first IR book based on their interests and lifestyles. Because they are expected to read 20 minutes a day, many students are even finished with their first book and have selected a second. Today was a nice opportunity to get some extra reading done while spending time in the last of the summertime weather.
