sugar
At our recent group event, ‘Mommy and Me Cooking in the Kitchen’, we learned about how much sugar is in a typical child’s daily diet. We were shocked!! Take a look at the cups that the children helped scoop sugar, by the teaspoons, into to show how much sugar was in the foods from ONE day. Knowledge is power! We encourage everyone to check food labels to help make better choices. A special thanks for the FACS students who prepared the poster for our event. Those drinks and snacks really got our attention.

Children between the ages of 2-18 should have less than 6 teaspoons or 25 grams of added sugar a day. Children under 2 should have 0 added grams of sugar a day.sugar
