Dear Elementary Families,
It is that time of year, time to start talking about back to school! I hope all of you found time to enjoy the things you love and spent quality time together. Summer flies by for students, families and staff!
If you happen to run into a teacher, be sure to give them a big pat on the back. Many of them have attended conferences, read professional books, collaborated with teammates or attended meetings at school. We have a dedicated staff that wants to be the best they can be for your children!
Now is a great time to start bedtime routines, eating lunch or dinner in approximately 20 minutes and discussing what your family is excited about this year. I encourage you to continue to make daily reading a part of your bedtime routine. This can be a wonderful time for you to read a chapter book as a family or for your child to practice reading out loud.
Just a reminder that Open Enrollment for returning students occurred through the month of July. If you have not completed registration, please do so ASAP. New families to the district will need to stop by the school on August 3rd or 4th between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to start the registration process.
Our Back To School Night will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The address is 302 West State Route A, Archie, Missouri.
This is a come-and-go Open House event, where families will have the opportunity to meet classroom teachers, drop off school supplies, sign up for PTO, and much more! Parents with middle and high school students might want to plan around the following:
- 6th Grade Orientation from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
- HS Dual Credit Parent Meeting from 6:30-7:00 p.m.
- 7th Grade Orientation from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
