Superintendent Tim Thompson and English teacher Ashley Lile teamed up to give students a view of 9/11 through a humanities lens. As a means of remembering and paying tribute to the events of this day 25 years ago, students explored a timeline of the morning of 9/11/01 to fully understand what took place, heard accounts from Thompson and Lile as to their own experiences of that day, and then read parts of a play written by Thompson that allowed students multiple perspectives of how people may have witnessed 9/11/2001. On this day, 9/11/2026, Archie High School's English II class periods were powerful and thoughtful as students discussed their observations and feelings about the tragedy 25 years in the past.
