Announcements

June 15, 2020

Dear Archie Students, Parents and Community,

The Class of 2020 Graduation will be held on July 12, 2020 at 7:00 PM at the Archie Sports Complex (Football Stadium). The time has been changed from its original time of 2 P.M. This change is in response to conversation with a representative from the National Weather Service and the projected potential for a heat advisory in mid-day. The district apologizes for any inconvenience that this may cause, but feels it is the best possible decision when considering the health and safety of all of those in attendance at the event. It is our hope that by giving you the information now that you may be able to plan accordingly.

The 2020 Senior Class members will be seated in the home side bleachers for better viewing from parents, family, and friends who will be seated on the football field.  We have the families sitting on the field to allow spacing for everyone that wants to attend to do so. We recommend all guests bring lawn chairs and place them on the football field in accordance with social distancing guidelines. Families may sit together. Small umbrellas that provide shading will be allowed, but the use of large canopies that impede the vision of others will not be permitted.  Designated seating for senior citizens and those with disabilities will be on the track. Ice water and personal hand fans will also be provided by the Archie R-V School District.

Graduation practice for students will be held on July 11. Practice time will be determined at a later date, pending the weather forecast.

As many of you are aware, Baccalaureate is a ceremony that is facilitated by the Archie Ministerial Alliance (AMA). This year Baccalaureate will be held on July 10 at 7:00 PM at the Archie Sports Complex (Football Stadium). The AMA will be forwarding information regarding Baccalaureate as specifics of the ceremony are finalized.

The Archie R-V School District appreciates your flexibility as we navigate these ceremonies in efforts to be as inclusive as possible for our students and families.

Thank you,

Archie R-V School District
